SO HOW DOES AN AIR DUCT SYSTEM FUNCTION, AND WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT?
The air duct, or air distribution, system utilized in air conditioning and heating your residence is a collection of tubes that distributes the heated or cooled air to the various spaces you occupy. This branching network of round or rectangle-shaped tubes– typically constructed of sheet metal, fiberglass board, or a flexible plastic-and-wire composite– is located within your office or residence. The duct system is created to supply areas with air that is “conditioned”– that is, heated or cooled by the HVAC System}– as well as to circulate or return the exact same volume of air back to the HVAC Unit.
